Protocol of Deflask

Necessary material :

  1. A roll of packing scotch (If glass container)
  2. 1 cloth (if glass container).
  3. 1 Hammer (If glass container) or knife (If plastic container).
  4. 1 Tupperware type box wide but not too high.
  5. Demineralised or osmosis water
  6. 1 Brush.

Protocol :

Flask in glass bottle:

  1. Wrap your bottle around 2/3 of its length, leaving the base of the bottle free.
  2. Grasp the bottle with a cloth.
  3. Hit a few dry blows on the base of the bottle to open it (breaking the cap).

Flask in plastic container:

  1. Open the lid of the container or cut it with a knife if it does not have a lid.

Then prepare a large but small container (Tupperware box type) in which you put 2-3 Cm of demineralized or osmosis water.

Adjust the water temperature between 20 and 25°C in the microwave, for example.

Put the plants in water and clean them well with a brush.

If necessary, carry out a second cleaning, the plants and their roots must be completely free of trace of the environment in which they were found.

Remove dead leaves from plants if necessary.

You can then if you wish, spray your plants with a fungicide and let 5 Min act.

Fold your plants in a very moist sphagnum-like environment. Use a long fiber quality sphagnum or NZ sphagnum (New Zeland).

Then let your plants grow in a moist but well ventilated place, the plants will have to gradually get used to the passage of a medium to 100% moisture to your medium, they will also in most cases have to, develop a new root system.

At the thread of weeks and months you can then gradually reduce the humidity until you obtain a rate identical to that of an adult plant.
